Creative Media and Game Technologies

Hello! Since I’m short in time and i haven’t created game before I feel insecure about my IT skills.Does the portfolio have more impact than the game we create for the university admission? Should I focus more on my art rather than coding?

Oh! Sorry for the late reply. Your portfolio doesn't have to be great! It can be as shit as you want. The focus of it will always be your motivation and passion. You could have the worst art or code in the world in your portfolio, but as long as you show you have the motivation to learn and figure out new skills, then you're fine!

For example, I started this study with a little folder on my side full of sketches and pixel art, some minimal C++ code that was quite simple, and a 3D model that definitely sucked ass. BUT! I got in. Not because my stuff was good enough, but because I had the motivation to make that stuff.

It's all about initiative. You can do this.

Good luck!
