Hotel Management

Hi :) I’m an italian student who would like to study hotel management. Moving out scares me a bit and I would like to know if Saxion gives you some support in finding an accommodation and maybe a part time job. Also, how’s the social interaction at saxion? Are there any student events? Thank u ;)

Hello Eva! Happy to hear that you are interested in the HM course. Sure, Saxion offers student accommodation for your first year of study and you can also get in touch with current students that can pass you their old rooms or help you with finding rental agencies. (on Facebook, through the group Saxion International Students). About the part-time job, there are sometimes opportunities to work for Saxion, but you can also discuss with current students for tips on where to work in the city if you are an English-speaker. The HM course has some very nice events. There is a nice introduction week, a study trip for first years, a food gala every year, events organized by students and much more :) However, they might take place online due to Covid-19. I hope this answers your questions!

Hello Eva. Welcome to Saxion University! Seems we will be studying the course together at Apeldoorn Campus. Leaving your home country might seem scary but we assure you in Saxion campus you will find a wide range of foreign nationalities who work, study, learn and have fun together and will make you have the peace to adopt to the new Dutch culture life.

Yes the campus offers support in the housing/accomodation section and this you can find it using this link:

https://www.saxion.edu/studying-in-the-netherlands/welcome-to-saxion/housing

Working during you studies also can be made possible and you can refer to this link also:

https://www.saxion.edu/studying-in-the-netherlands/life-in-holland/working-during-your-studies

There are several social interactions available at Saxion and you can choose which best suits you in the link:

Yes there are several student events and most can be found in the Blackboard under the Arrivals course section in detail.

Looking foward to having you at Saxion and feel free to ask for any assistance :)
